The App I Like, The Screen I Avoid

WhatsApp is my most-used app because it is how I stay in touch with my family and friends.  Since close contact with cell phones affects me physically, I rarely use mine on the go unless it is an emergency or a quick hello from family. On the occasions when I do need to use it, I keep it at a distance and rely on the speakerphone.

At home, I protect myself by using WhatsApp on my TV monitor. I can comfortably use it throughout the day without feeling unwell, because it’s the direct phone exposure—not the app itself—that causes me discomfort.

So no, I don’t feel bad about being on WhatsApp; I just minimize phone screen time as much as I reasonably can.

True whatsapp is excellent for connecting with family and friends, TikTok is an addiction for me that i need to break and YouTube is soul-food if it wasn’t for the incessant ads…

Thanks so much, Angie for engaging with the post! 😊

Yes, WhatsApp has helped keep meaningful relationships close, and YouTube can be an incredible place to learn and grow!

It takes real self-awareness to recognize when something like TikTok has become more habit than help—acknowledging it is often the first step toward changing it.

Glad this post resonated with you! 💬📱 Happy Monday!
